A very pretty wedding was solemnised in St Mary Magdalene on Wednesday last, the contracting parties being F J Young (employed in the G P O) and Miss Marie Barr. The parents of both are residents of Colyton. The Rev Dixon Hudson performed the ceremony. Mr J Stevens drove the bride to the church with his pair of greys, and afterwards to Walker's Hall, Colyton, the guests accompanying in other vehicles, where a wedding breakfast had been prepared by the bride's parents.
