What is believed to be the first Prayer Book used by the first Rector - the Rev. Henry Fulton, B.A.- on the Prayer Desk at the opening of St Stephen's Church in 1839, was used by the Acting Rector to read Morning and Evening Prayer, at the recent anniversary (79th) services, and so formed a link with the past.
