High praise in the Parramatta 'Argus' for 2 locals who performed at a concert in the Auburn Town Hall - J J Herford, a fine mellow bass that was much enjoyed, and baritone, P Herford. J J was encored for a magnificient rendering of 'Hear the Wild Winds', and P Herford's contribution, 'I Fear No Foe', aroused the audience, and he replied with a repetition of a verse.
