The corner of Glossop St. & Wattle St. at St Marys have been identified as one of Penrith councils worst black spots - East Ward councillor John Thain said the corner had been under council scrutiny for some time through numerous crashes there - The council identified the site & 11 others under the federal governments national black spot program to make it eligible for roadwork funds - Last week the council learned it will be granted $30 000 for work on the St Marys trouble spot, but if not completed by December 31 it will lose $15 000 of the grant.
