Their home is again in their native Germany but their hearts are still in Australia - Julius and Mimi Michels were the first Germans to be granted immigration rights to Australia after World War II - They became citizens here in 1963 - Julius worked at his butcher's trade - Mimi worked in a clothing factory - They finally saved enough money to buy a block of land in Monfarville St, St Marys, on which they built a small weatherboard house - Mini took a job at a spectacle manufacturing firm in St Marys - Julis bought a small farm in Mamre Rd where he ran sheep and cattle and produced sausages - Photo.
