Articles
One of the men primarily responsible for the establishment of the new Nepean District Hospital died at his home at Narabeen last week aged 79. The man was Mr W Hewitt, former president of Nepean Shire Council and Deputy Mayor of Penrith. He was a member of Nepean District Hospital Board for about 25 years, and retired about 5 years ago. He was largely instrumental in the purchase of the site for Nepean District Hospital, and one of the movers for its construction 20 years ago. He is survived by his wife Bertha and son John of Wagga.
