Penrith Branch of Red Cross celebrated World Red Cross Day on Thursday, May 8, by giving a special birthday present to the first baby born at Nepean Hospital - Branch president, Pat Smith explained the significance of the day to proud parents, Donella and Paul Ashbee of Kingswood, whose first child, Shaun Hans, was born at 12.57am - 'The founder of Red Cross was Henry Dunant and we honour his birthday with World Red Cross Day,' she said - The Penrith Branch celebrates the day by presenting the first baby born with a basket of goodies and a baby book - The Penrith branch of Red Cross celebrated their 73rd birthday on May 6 and is looking for new members, for more information call 9623 6702 - Photo.
