On Saturday morning last, Robert Gibson died of a paralytic stroke. He was 61. Dr Barber was consulted but there was nothing he could do. Born in Regentville, he married in 1866 in Greendale to Sarah, daughter of the late Mr Cross, of Greendale and sister of ex-alderman Cross. About 5 years ago he came to St Marys to reside. He leaves 7 children, 25 grandchildren. The funeral was on Sunday afternoon at St Marys General Cemetery, Rev Dixon Hudson officiating.
