Petition from residents to storekeepers asking that stores shall be closed on Wednesday afternoons at one o'clock. People having valuable dogs will do well to be cautious, as poison is laid in the streets of Penrith. Alderman T. Smith has connected the water supply at the Railway Station and has placed water stored there at the disposal of the public. Council to take steps to secure a public cemetery for Penrith.
