Springwoodites are well provided with societies - Orange Lodge, Good Templars, and Free and Independent Odd Fellows. The beauty of our picturesque village has been destroyed by the attempt to erect a new railway station. Attention drawn to the road running west, south side of Springwood Railway Station, obstructed by a fence erected across it by C. Moore, MLC, and questions asked about its construction.
