A meeting of the Jamisontown Progress Committee was held at the School-church on Monday night, John Blaikie in the chair. The Secretary read a detailed report on the voluntary labor, the council's man and the dayman; accounts were submitted for payment; further work outlined; rules were submitted with a view to forming themselves into a proper Progress Committee, recognised as the Jamisontown Progress Committee.
