The Municipal Council Chambers, Castlereagh, was the scene of a most interesting and enjoyable affair on Thursday of last week, the occasion being the celebration of the 21st birthday of W Parker. Between 50 and 60 friends attended. The hall and stage were beautifully decorated, and E Shaw acted as M C. Dancing was indulged in, interspersed with songs, games and recitations, until midnight, when an adjournment was made for supper. Dancing was further indulged in until about 4 o'clock, when the guests gradually adjourned. It is noted that toasts were drunk with cups of tea. Further details.
