Penrith's fire-fighting strength will be reduced by half if a plan by the NSW Board of Fire Commissioners to cut staff goes ahead. Penrith Council has been urged to join forces with the NSW Fire Brigade Employees Union to fight a proposal described as 'absolutely Ridiculous' by Union Secretary, Mr Frank Bryce.
