Many great floods occurred in the Nepean-Hawkesbury Valley in ages before settlement, but the chronicler at the Court of King Billy forgot to leave any records. Perhaps he & his notebook were swept away. So we are obliged to start from 1795. The first flood occurred January 1795, next was March 1799, February 1805, March 1806, August 1809, July 1810, 1817, two in 1819, April 1830, two in 1857, two in 1860, two in 1864, June 1867, April 1870. Some details given.
