A Senate inquiry inoto the disposal of defence lands began last week amid growing fears that the massive development of the former ADI site is just 'the thin end of the wedge' for Penrith - The ire of Penrith Council and local residents was stirred this month with the state government approving a new mini-city of 8000 homes on the old defence lands - Now two other defence sites, the army signals site and the North Penrith army land, are earmarked for development.
