Children & their parents previously isolated from the mainstream due to allergies are now getting a new lease on life - Some children are so sensitive that even touching a toy that has been touched by someone who has been in contact with a peanut product can send them into life threatening anaphylaxic shock - Since the article appeared eight allergic children & their siblings meet every Wednesday morning at Kim Russels's Claremont Meadows home, where she hosts the new playgroup Allergy Friends - The predominant allergy is peanuts, but some children are allergic to bananas, potatoes, soy , sesame seeds , pears & other foods.
