Includes: Deceased Estate File for Penrith farmer George Lee, formerly of Tomago. He left his estate to his wife Ann. His estate entailed: - no real estate; livestock valued at 382 pounds, crops valued at 39 pounds, as well as farm equipment, household furniture, life assurance policy (AMP). Debts were owing to: Dr McMaster, butchers Millen Bros, grocers Judges Bros, Fulton's store, saddler Aynsley, Nelson Price for shoeing, baker A Laing, Penrith Municipal Council for rates. Affidavit from valuer Frederick Mortimer Vine stating he was a farmer of Penrith who had been farming for upwards of 35 years and was well acquainted with the valuation of farm stock, implements and produce. Valuation was of 37 cows, 6 heifers, draught horses, pigs and poultry; crops: pumpkins, corn and hay; farming implements: corn sheller, mowing machine, ploughs, horse rake and tools; 1 sulky, 1 buggy, 1 spring cart and 1 dray; household furniture for a 4 house, dining room and sitting room and kitchen.
