Penrith draws first league game

In adverse football conditions, Penrith played a 2-all draw at home against Wentworthville in the first inter-district Rugby League match, last Sunday. A hardy group of 250 spectators stood in the opouring rain to asee a match of fast, open football. Penrith forwards led by Alan Lee, Pat Russell and Tom Grady, revelled in the heavy going. Penrith culb officials and spectators were full of praise for the style of team play developed by Ron Clifford in the few weeks since his appointment.
