One of a series of data reports planned for the Hawkesbury-Nepean River Sediment Dynamics Study, intended to inform on the project's progress and provide immediate access to the data.Presents data from sediment transport and flow measurements made during low freshwater discharge conditions at three sites in the Hawkesbury-Nepean River: Sackville, Windsor and Camden. Total suspended solids (TSS), volatile suspended solids (VSS), bedload and velocity measurements were made during ebb tide at Sackville on 14 May 1993 and over a flood and ebb tide cycle at the Windsor site on 4 June 1993. Measurements of the same parameters were attempted on 6 April 1993 at Cowpastures Bridge. This data will be used to calculate the sediment flux through the fluvial and fluvial but tidally influenced reaches of the Hawkesbury-Nepean River. This information will be combined with sediment data from the estuary to develop a conceptual model that describes the sediment dynamics of the Hawkesbury-Nepean River system as a whole.
