Biography/History:
Angela Murock Hussein, aka Dr. Dig, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she first became interested in the ancient world through visiting the Carnegie Museum and learning about Egypt in school. She majored in anthropology at the University of Rhode Island and went on to earn a Ph.D. in Old World Archaeology and Art from Brown University. She studied in Germany and Greece and has excavated in Israel, Egypt, Crete, and Italy. She lives with her husband Ramadan, an Egyptologist, and her three children, Joey, Ben, and Martha.
