Biography/History:
George Robert Benton was born on 14th December 1925. He volunteered for the Royal Navy in early 1943, at the age of seventeen years, and served as a seaman aboard HMS Impulsive during the North Atlantic Campaign on Russian convoys. He now enjoys a retired life – his passions being gardening and writing.
