Madeleine L'Engle is a prolific writer of poetry, fiction, autobiography, and writings on scripture and the Christian life. Best known for the Newbery Award—winning A Wrinkle in Time and her classic work on faith and art, Walking on Water, L'Engle is the author of over fifty books. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, medals, and honorary degrees, including the National Religious Book Award. She lives in Connecticut and New York City.
