Snooker rooms clean start bid

Articles
Just months after the closure of the High Stree Mall Snooker Rooms, attempts are being made to open a second pool room just three doors down fromt he former premises. The trouble-plagued snooker rooms were closed in September after almost two decades of operation. The move followed orders by Penrith Council to clean up the premises which were the scene of a major drug-bust in February. Former manager of the rooms, Health Bell and partner Darrell Seymour, photographs included, believe they can make an amusement centre work in Penrith. Ald King said there would not be another amusement parlour in either Penrith or St Marys. He would advise the applicants they were wasting their time.
