Rowe's boat hire, Nepean River, Penrith

circa 1930
Archives
W. J. Rowe built a boat shed near the Log Cabin. The boats and steamers would regularly take passengers up and down the river on pleasure cruises, where they would stop along the river for picnics, fishing and camping. The house on the left is Ravenspur owned by Frederick Jones. During floods rowboats were moored between the Jones' residence, Ravenspur, and the Governor Bourke Inn.
