A report of the opening of the G and G supermarket, a huge health, beauty aids and patent medicines section, geared to high turnover and low prices. Penrith is the first of G & G's 126 stores to have these features. The stores will be officially opened at 9.15 on Thursday next week. The asistant manager in the store is Mr Leo Hair, who has been employed there for 40 years, starting at Bussell Bros in a store on the same site. G and G took over 8 years ago. The manager will be Mr A Ferguson of Kurrajong, who is manager of the present shop.
