A conference was held recently between Londonderry Bush Fire Brigade members, No. 4 ward aldermen of Penrith Council, and representatives of Toorah Progress Association. It was recommended to Penrith Council that an immediate request be made to the bush fire authorities for a suitable tender for the Londonderry Bush Fire Brigade. Also, that a siren be installed in the Toorah area, with residents of Toorah becoming members of the Londonderry BFB.
