A 29 year old Werrington man was arrested and charged with 'assault police officer in execution of duty, without actual bodily harm'. While police officers were stopped at lights on Parker Street, the man approached a motorcycle rider and attempted to remove him from the bike. He then attempted to open the door of a truck stopped behind the bike. It is alleged police had to physically remove him from the road and the man grabbed hold of one of the officers and would not let go until the other officer pulled him away.
