Waste depot 'will come' [newspaper article] : Legal battle

A rubbish dump will be built in Penrith despite the Supreme Court decision in favour of Penrith City Council and classifying the proposed Londonderry Waste Disposal Depot as a 'designated development'. The decision, from the Court of Appeal, was the culmination of months of legal battles between the State Government and council, which saw Council lose the original decision in the Land and Environment Court.
