South Creek catchment spans major growth and agricultural areas of Western Sydney, from Blacktown and Fairfield to the suburbs of Penrith, and covers about 30% of the Sydney Region. The principle aims of the study were to identify the current status of environmental activity related to the catchment, and to develop a framework for integrating and recording both current and future environmental initiatives. The study was carried out under the guidance of a Steering Committee comprised of members of the SCCMC (South Creek Catchment Management Committee) and representatives from industry and government.
