Valda Qualmann worked in the canteen at the Munitions Filling Factory from 1942-1945. She then worked in the canteen at Dunlop's from 1946-1948 and finally at a canteen that serviced both Dunlop's and Anthony Squires' staff until 1952.

Una McIntosh worked as a nurse in the Munitions Factory from 1967 to 1990, performing general medical checks, blood tests, vaccinations and treating injuries.
