Miss Maud Long of Lambridge was the last local to occupy 'Poet's Corner'. Under the heading 'Congratulations - Appreciation of Public Men', the MLA for Nepean, T W K Waldron, the City Solicitor, and the Mayors of Penrith and St Marys, Ald L Markham and W A Kennelly, also write congratulatory messages to the Nepean Times.
